SUMMARY:Annual Business Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The New Year begins with our Annual Business Meeting. Agenda items include election of officers\, review of 2020 activities\, upcoming events for 2021 (including our popular Annual Flower and Plant Sale in May)\, and decisions on where to direct our charitable donations. \nThe Bloomingdale Garden Club has now celebrated 57 years together. Started in April of 1963 by seven ardent gardeners and neighbors\, the Club has grown considerably throughout its history\, and today’s members enjoy exciting programs and speakers\, workshops and field trips. Visitors are invited. We welcome gardeners of all ages and experience. \nOur Mission: To educate its members and the community about gardening through informative and educational meetings\, workshops and activities • To develop and promote projects for civic beautification and environmental stewardship • To support philanthropic endeavors which aid the residents of the Bloomingdale community and surrounding areas • To provide opportunities for fellowship for those interested in gardening and environmental and civic responsibility • To aid in the protection of native trees\, flowers and birds • To further the extermination of invasive and/or noxious plants.
