SUMMARY:2016 Annual BGC Flower and Plant Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Bloomingdale Garden Club Annual Flower & Plant Sale will be held May 13 & 14\, 2016. \n\n2016 Flower Sale Flyer \n  \n\nFriday\, May 13\, noon to 6 p.m.\nSaturday\, May 14\, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.\n\nWe’re very pleased to offer many new flowers and plants this year from Bartels Plants\, our professional grower in Michigan. In fact\, dozens of new plants and varieties are available! And we’ve included “tried and true\,” along with flowers back by popular demand. \n  \nWe continue to offer high-quality geraniums in many hues\, flats of 48 plants\, 10” hanging baskets\, vegetables and herbs\, accent plants\, grasses\, Tuts\, and many\, many specialty annuals and Proven Winners/Proven Selections you’ve come to know and use in your containers and landscape. We also will have perennials from our gardens available on the days of the Sale. And you won’t want to miss our raffle for a new potting bench!. We’ll also have for sale “Wedgies” (an incredible planting tool first featured at the Chicago Flower & Garden Show) along with other items to beautify your garden. \nMaster Gardeners will be on site to answer your gardening questions. They’ll also be available on Saturday\, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.\, to create container gardens where you supply the container. A small fee will apply + the cost of the plants you purchase. \nOur prices continue to be lower than most independent nurseries and big box stores. The proceeds from your purchases fund our monthly programs and are donated to various agencies and organizations serving those in need\, e.g.\, Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry\, Bloomingdale VFW\, DuPage Convalescent Center\, DuPage PADS\, Northern Illinois Food Bank\, People’s Resource Center\, Poised for Success\, Stepping Stones\, plus others. In 2015\, the Bloomingdale Garden Club donated more than $6\,000! \nBy ordering now\, you’ll save some money over the Day-of-Sale Prices. Also\, please note that some flowers available on the Pre-Sale Order Form may not be available on the days of the Sale. \nGift Certificates are available in any denomination. These are perfect for birthdays\, Easter\, Mother’s Day\, or any occasion. Recipients of the Gift Certificates may redeem them at the Flower & Plant Sale on May 13 and 14 at “day-of-sale prices.” \n
