The Gardens at Ball Tour August 25th, 10 AM
Club members will be able to bring one guest. The gardens at Ball cover 7.5 acres with over 70,000 individual plants, including display beds, elevated viewing gardens, hanging plants, vertical gardens, water garden, trial garden, woodland area and several other features. The gardens have been the evaluation and testing grounds for the world’s wealth of horticultural introductions and improvements for over 80 years. Indoor Potluck Social Event
The term potluck was used in the Middle Ages to describe an impromptu meal served to unexpected guests or travelers. A person that may drop-in at dinner hour would get “the luck of the pot:” whatever food was left over or kept on the simmer. Join us for a casual indoor potluck gathering where each person contributes by bringing a dish to share. We will blend camaraderie, creativity and delicious food. Our event will include social time and fun games.

Elections and West Suburban Nursing Christmas Centerpiece Craft
We will hold our club’s annual election of officers. Following elections, our members will create a unique Christmas centerpiece for the West Suburban Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Each club member will add their own personal touches to the centerpieces. The residents love our annual Christmas projects and look forward to receiving them every year.
