2022 West Suburban Donations

The garden club members came through in a big way this year in its holiday collection for the residents at the West Suburban Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The generosity of our members is amazing!
Donations of fleece blankets (many of them homemade), shawls, scarves, and socks will warm more than just their hearts! Soft, cuddly Beanie Babies will be a great comfort to many! Lotions, body wash, nail care kits and other personal health & beauty items were collected. One of our members hand made 60 bracelets which Vina (the Activities Director) said the ladies will certainly love! To keep residents entertained, cards, puzzle books, pencils and markers were collected, and for their sweet tooth, chocolates and candy canes too!
In addition, at our November club meeting, members made beautiful angel door hangers for each of the residents rooms. It was quite a project and the efforts of our “craft committee” and members was outstanding!
Per Vina, the support of the garden club for the past 3 holiday seasons is so appreciated by the residents! Thanks to all!
