PLOT-TO-PLATE GARDEN SIGN

At the spring board meeting of the Bloomingdale Garden Club, Gail Sanders asked if our Club would be willing to pay for a more durable sign for our Plot-to-Plate Garden. The board gave its approval and Jamie Schneck came up with a new design. We had the sign printed locally by Concorde Signs LLC in Elmhurst to support small business through the pandemic. Within a few weeks our lovely sign was installed by the Bloomingdale Park District.

The Plot-to-Plate Garden continues to be for many of us, a place to make a positive difference during this time with COVID restrictions. While we are not able to enjoy working together, we are making much-needed contributions to food pantries.

This season we are splitting our harvest between the Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry and the food Pantry at Family in Faith Church in Glendale Heights. Both pantries help feed our neighbors in Bloomingdale Township and have let us know how much the fresh organic produce is appreciated.
